The Obama Slippery Slope

Since the Democrats have no problem with Obama using his pen and his phone to trample the Constitution by making dozens of changes to the Obamacare law, rewriting immigration law, using the EPA to regulate us to death, and cover up scandals that would make Nixon blush - IRS/Tea Party, Fast and Furious, Benghazi, NSA (to name a few), I am looking forward to the day when the next unprincipled, narcissistic, radical, agenda-driven, thin-skinned, asshole Republican President takes over the White House.

We can assume that Democrats will have no problem when the new GOP President uses his pen and phone to:

• Reverse dozens of Obamacare provisions.
• Cut all welfare payments for able-bodied recipients after 90 days.
• Outlaw all abortions.
• Cut the corporate income tax to 11%.
• Fire the Federal Reserve Chairman and appoints someone who will stop the perpetual quantitative easing.
• Abolish the Departments of Education, Transportation, and Commerce, HHS, the TSA, the EPA, the IRS, Homeland Security, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and the USDA.
• Order the military to the southern border.
• Increase military spending by 50%.
• Reverse whatever amnesty executive order Obama is about to hand down. 
• Cut the budgets of all remaining government agencies by 20%.
• End the practice of employers' withholding of income taxes. 
• Privatize Social Security.
• Sell 75% of all federal land owned in western states.
• Fund the drilling for oil and natural gas in all 50 states.
• Abolish the federal minimum wage.
• Implement a flat tax. 
• Withhold payment to the United Nations.
• End all foreign aid with the exception of Israel and African nations.

Dr. Wayne Gann

Dear Dr. Wayne Gann, Chairman of the Mississippi Board of Education,

In today's Mississippi Press you offered a self-serving and meager rebuttal to U.S. senatorial candidate,Chris McDaniel's support for abolishing of the Department of Education. I guess I should not have expected anything less from someone whose very job is largely dependent on the federal funding in which McDaniel wants to cut.  

A few thoughts:

"I have been a lifelong proponent of public education. I believe it offers the greatest opportunity for students to succeed in life, and as a result, improve the state's economy and our quality of life."

Of course you are! You make your living off of the public school system? Are there no other alternatives other than the federally financed public school system? Perhaps home school or private schools or school choice vouchers or charter schools or parochial schools?

"The nearly $800 million in federal funds Mississippi receives accounts for 24 percent of the state's overall education budget. . . Can you imagine how devastating this would be for the children of this state to not receive the money they need?"

Can you imagine, Dr. Gann, that perhaps the state of Mississippi and every state across the nation has grown complacent with their education budgeting given the extent of federal funding? Personally, I am embarrassed by the fact that states like Mississippi are dependent on federal funding for nearly 25% of your K-12 education budget. I consider that the height of irresponsibility to be beholden to a nearly bankrupt federal government.

"Federal law requires states to provide the necessary services for students with special needs. The loss of federal funds would force the state to generate the needed dollars to provide the same level of services, resulting in massive state and local tax increases and chaos in the state budget."

Again, Dr. Gann, you miss the point entirely! The tip-off is in your first three words, "federal law requires". If you listen to Chris McDaniels, you would have heard him say things like, "the Constitution does not grant the federal government the power to get involved in the education of the nation's children, therefore the Department of Education and all the money that comes with it should go away." If you truly understood the founding of this country, you would be appalled by the paragraph you wrote. What right does Washington, D.C. have to tell the people of Mississippi what services to provide to students with special needs. I am confident that the people of Mississippi could figure that out on their own.

"Someone has to speak for the boys and girls in our public schools, and I feel it is my duty to do just that. I urge you to join me in standing up for public education."

With your many years of experience in public education, I am sure that you are aware of the lack luster performance on the part of American children compared to other nations around the world. The poor performance just happens to coincide with the passage of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965. How can that be Dr. Gann? The federal government's reaches its tentacles into the education of our children, which was previously managed quite well by states and local communities, and performance subsides!

Since the Left and progressives cannot persuade the majority of us to go along with their policies and agenda nor will we excuse their poor behavior, they will simply change the definition! 

• The definition of sex was changed by Bill Clinton and the Left; oral sex is not sex! He did not have “sexual relations with that woman . . .Ms. Lewinski”
• The definition of marriage is being changed to include same sex partners.
• The definition of illegal immigration is being changed as we are being led to believe that immigrants who broke our laws should be granted citizenship.
• The definition of global warming is being changed to climate change since the earth really isn't warming. 
• The definition of abortion is being changed. Preventing an embryo from implanting in the uterus is not considered “abortion”.

What About the Baby?

In commemoration of the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court ruling, President Obama said the following yesterday. 

"Today, as we reflect on the 41st anniversary of the Supreme Court decision in Roe v. Wade, we recommit ourselves to the decision's guiding principle: that every woman should be able to make her own choices about her body and her health.  We reaffirm our steadfast commitment to protecting a woman's access to safe, affordable health care and her constitutional right to privacy, including the right to reproductive freedom.  And we resolve to reduce the number of unintended pregnancies, support maternal and child health, and continue to build safe and healthy communities for all our children.  Because this is a country where everyone deserves the same freedom and opportunities to fulfill their dreams."

Something is missing. Did you catch it?

What about the baby’s choices about his/her body?

What about the baby’s access to safe, affordable health care?

What about the baby’s constitutional right to LIFE, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness?

What about the baby’s right to be born?

When you read between the lines, what you see is a very sick and twisted perspective on life:

“We resolve to reduce the number of unintended pregnancies”

By killing all unwanted babies?

                                                    

We will “build safe and healthy communities”

By killing off millions of babies and instilling a sense of irresponsibility on the part of sexually active men and woman?

“This is a country where everyone deserves the same freedom and opportunities to fulfill their dreams”

Unless you are an unborn baby in the womb of a women who does not want you!

The fact that these obvious omissions are not even called out in a mainstream manner, says more about the decline of morals in America than anything I can imagine short of executing undesirables – i.e. Nazy Germany.
