Never Trumpers and the Constitution

The angst over the election of Donald Trump appears to be driving some of our fellow citizens crazy. They fear what he will do in regards to abortion, gay marriage, Obamacare, education, climate change, welfare, and immigration. I believe this offers us with a once-in-a-generation opportunity to spread the message of limited government to an audience that, under normal circumstances, would not be receptive to it.

What if we were to steer the conversation with these non-Trumpers away from their hysterical claims and toward one of returning the federal government to its rightful and constitutional place?

Explain to them why the power wielded by the federal government exceeds any of the Founders' wildest expectations. Explain to them that the states created the federal government and granted it the power to do a few things; everything else was left to the states.

Point them to Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution which lays out the list of the enumerated (and limited) powers granted to the federal government. It is comprised of 18 paragraphs.
  • 6 paragraphs concern the military and the militia.
  • 4 paragraphs concern money or taxes.
  • 1 paragraph concerns commerce.
  • 1 paragraph concerns naturalization and bankruptcies.
  • 1 paragraph concerns post offices and post roads.
  • 1 paragraph concerns copyrights and patents.
  • 1 paragraph concerns federal courts.
  • 1 paragraph concerns maritime crimes.
  • 1 paragraph concerns the governance of the District of Columbia.
  • 1 paragraph gives Congress the power “to make all Laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into Execution the foregoing Powers.”
Next you can show them the Tenth Amendment: "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people."

Finally, point out to them that the federal government (the one whose power is supposed to be restricted) is now one of the nation’s largest creditor, debtor, lender, employer, consumer, contractor, grantor, property owner, tenant, insurer, health care provider, and pension guarantor. Then pose the question: does that sound like the limited federal government laid out in the Constitution?

With the case laid out, you can now point out to your distraught non-Trumper friends that they have nothing to fear because the Constitution does not mention: marriage, health insurance, the education of our children, gun control, labor laws, abortion, bailouts of corporations, stimulus packages, regulation of carbon dioxide emissions, welfare programs, farm subsidies, regulation of drugs, or foreign aid. After their cynical laugh and some time of reflection, they may be willing to get involved in the rollback movement.

The Case for Hillary

If you think the rule of law applies to everyone except Hillary Clinton, vote for Hillary.

If you believe in open borders and no enforcement of current immigration laws, vote for Hillary.

If you believe there is no difference between an abortion and elective surgery, vote for Hillary.

If you believe the Supreme Court is a tool to be used to advance a political agenda and to create rights not enumerated in the Constitution, vote for Hillary.

If you believe the power of the federal government should be expanded, vote for Hillary.

If you think the economy is on the right track, vote for Hillary.

If you think there is nothing shady going on with the Federal Reserve, vote for Hillary.

If you are ok with high government officials blatantly violating the law, somehow avoiding prosecution, and lying about it, vote for Hillary.

If you think voter fraud is acceptable, vote for Hillary.

If you think globalism first, America second, vote for Hillary.

If you want to go to war with Russia, vote for Hillary.

If you want a President with a thirty-year record of dishonesty and corruption, vote for Hillary.

If you think the healthcare provided to our veterans is adequate, vote for Hillary.

If you think anyone who supports Trump belongs in a "basket of deplorables", vote for Hillary.

If you think someone involved in scandals such as Benghazi, the Clinton Foundation, the House Post Office, bimbo eruptions, private email server, collusion with the media, Whitewater, and quid pro quo/pay to play scams, vote for Hillary.

If you think Margaret Sanger and Saul Alinsky are ideal role models, vote for Hillary.

Dump Trump

A friend recently posed the question: What would Donald Trump have to do for you to withdrawal your support for him. Below are some thoughts:

If, as a young man, he had been fired for being unethical and dishonest and then spent the next thirty years of his life being unethical and dishonest.

If he endorsed Obamacare.

If he endorsed the practice of abortion.

If, when asked about the Supreme Court, he stated that he would require activist jurists that uphold abortion and gay marriage.

If he promised to further restrict our Second Amendment rights.

If he declared that he wants to flood the country with illegal immigrants and ignore current immigration law.

If he was responsible for the death of four Americans including an ambassador and then lied about the incident.

If he became an advocate for taking economy-killing measures to fight the hoax known as climate change/global warming.

If he kept talking about going to war with Russia.

If he committed a felony and corrupted the FBI in order to avoid an indictment.

If he declared that he wants to expand common core and federal control over our schools.

If he had used a foundation with his last name on it to enrich himself and peddled influence to donators.

If he pledged his allegiance to "deplorables" like Saul Alinsky and/or Margaret Sanger.

If he lied about landing in a foreign country under sniper fire.

If he was susceptible to blackmail by countless foreign entities and foreign intelligence agencies.

Dead Man Walking - The Republican Party

If the Republican Party cannot beat a man as inexperienced and incompetent as Obama and then loses to a woman equally as incompetent and literally dripping with corruption, why should it survive?
Depending on the poll, the American electorate is generally split with 40% aligning themselves with Republicans, 40% with Democrats, and 20% as Independent.

In order to be successful, Democrats must cobble together a group of various voting blocks. They accomplish this using a destructive strategy of dividing and demonizing. They scare their blocks into voting for the Democratic candidate by slandering and lying about their Republican rivals. Think about it: All you ever hear from the national Democrats is division - white vs. blacks, rich vs. poor, the 1%, the war on women, pro-life vs. pro-abortion, Christians vs. secular world, The Alt Right, proponents of gay marriage vs. believers in real marriage, old vs. young, transgenders vs. straight, illegal immigrants vs. citizens, Obamacare, welfare, etc, etc. All the while they demonize anyone who does not agree with them - basket of deplorables (racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic).

Meanwhile the Republican caucus is comprised of fewer, less-than-loyal voting blocks. Consider conservative talk radio hosts who run the gamut from all-Trump-everyday supporter to the Never Trumpers. Consider the Christian voting block, which in theory, leans Republican. Millions of them did not vote for Romney because he was a Mormon. Then you have the Libertarians who again lean toward the GOP socially but cannot stomach their lust for military intervention throughout the world. So they either stay home on election day, hold their nose and vote for the Republican, or they pull the lever for the Libertarian candidate.

As Rush Limbaugh has famously said for years, “being a liberal is easy.” He posits that it does not require any critical thinking to be a liberal and vote for every Democrat on the ballot. You can simply latch on to any of the stereotypes and/or emotional arguments fed to you by the Left and the media and safely remain strong-fisted in your opposition to those dastardly Republicans.

I recently published a blog post called “Donald Trump Scares Me” that exemplifies this perfectly. While Hillary Clinton is resoundingly disliked, thought to be dishonest and untrustworthy, millions will still vote for her because Donald Trump has been cast as this ogre who hates women; he is mean, scary, unpredictable, and unlikable.

While the Democrats continue their divide-and-demonize strategy, as they push to replace their disenchanted and declining voter base with amnestied illegal immigrants, the Republican Party will continue its dead man walk into irrelevancy.

The Perversion of the Presidency

What would the Founding generation say about the time, energy, and money spent on the modern presidential elections? After all, if we followed the Constitution’s prescription for the separation of powers specifically the power of the executive branch, the presidential election would largely be a non-event.

Because the powers delegated by the states to the federal government were few and defined, the occupant of the White House, in theory, should matter less than who we elect to Congress or to our state legislatures. Unfortunately with the power wielded by D.C. growing virtually on a daily basis, we find ourselves absorbed in this circus that rolls into town every four years. The presidential race has come to resemble a cultural event much like the opening of the NFL season or the much-anticipated new seasons of the Walking Dead or House of Cards.

If we still lived by the true standard of the Constitution, the presidential candidates would not spend their time laying out a series of agenda items and commenting on every police shooting because their job description is limited largely to four things: foreign affairs, appointing judges and cabinet heads, vetoing unconstitutional legislation passed by Congress, and executing the constitutional laws passed by Congress.

Instead of cheering for Clinton or Trump or Gary Johnson, or Jill Stein or Darrell Castle, we should be constantly evaluating the constitutionality of the actions and/or proposals of our federal officials. We should be demanding that our state legislatures nullify all unconstitutional federal laws. We should be explaining to our sphere of influence why most federal actions are unconstitutional. We should put an end to the perversion of the Office of the President of the United States.

Basket of Deplorables

Last week Hillary Clinton characterized 50% of Donald J. Trump supporters as a "basket of deplorables"
  • Racist
  • Sexist
  • Homophobic
  • Xenophobic
  • Islamaphobic
How could 50% of Hillary voters be characterized? A "vat of despicables"?
  • Intellectually lazy
  • Ill-informed
  • Intolerant
  • Moochers
  • Anti-constitutional
  • Hypocrites
  • Coercive
  • Anti-American
  • Liars
  • Anti-democracy.

Donald Trump Scares Me

So far I have been able to find three reasons why people plan to vote for Hillary Clinton:
  1. She is a woman and her election would be historic.
  2. She is a Democrat.
  3. Donald Trump. Because he is mean, scary, unpredictable, unlikable, and/or crazy and he often employs a harsh tone, they see no other alternative but to vote for Hillary.
Meanwhile back in the real world, Hillary continues to prove that she is dreadfully under-qualified for the office of the presidency (eerily similar to her former boss, and current office holder). Look how well things have turned out for the country!
  • She never started a business.
  • She never managed a company.
  • She never had to make payroll.
  • Her claim to fame is her husband.
Her entire life is one lie on top of another.
  • She lied about Whitewater.
  • She lied about the women who Bill Clinton’s sexual abused.
  • She lied about the women with whom Bill had consensual sex.
  • She lied about Hillarycare.
  • She lied about being broke when her and Bill left the White House.
  • She lied about landing in Bosnia ‘under sniper fire’.
  • Her carpet-bagging Senate seat was a lie.
  • She lied about Benghazi.
  • She lied about the email servers.
  • She lied about the Clinton Foundation.
She is corrupt, conniving, dishonest, untrustworthy, shady, and, on top of that, a bitch! Consider . . .
  • She was fired from the House Judiciary committee investigating the Nixon Watergate scandal because, “She was an unethical, dishonest lawyer. She conspired to violate the Constitution, the rules of the House, the rules of the committee and the rules of confidentiality” and she hasn’t stopped lying since.
  • She will continue Obama’s fundamental transformation of America.
  • She will pack the Supreme Court with more Elena Kagan’s and Sonia Sotomayor's.
  • She will continue to increase illegal immigration and refuse to enforce immigration law.
  • The $100,000 cattle futures trading gain.
  • The numerous accounts of her cursing at state troopers, Secret Service Agents, and subordinates.
  • Her $300,000 speeches.
  • The Marc Rich pardon.
  • The Travelgate scandal.
  • The mysterious circumstances surrounding the deaths of many Clinton associates.
  • The renting of the Lincoln bedroom.
  • She laughed about defending a child rapist.
  • She was opposed to gay marriage before she was for it.
  • She was anti-illegal immigration before she was for amnesty.
  • Illegal contributions from foreign nations.
  • She will increase federal gun control rules.
  • She will take us to war.
  • She will be susceptible to blackmail due to her hacked emails.
  • She will continue to grow the number of Americans on welfare.
  • She will continue growing the national debt.
  • She will continue the Federal Reserve’s out-of-control monetary policies.
  • She will claim to fix the economy by spending more on “infrastructure, roads, and bridges”.
  • She put the final nail in the coffin of the coal industry.
  • She will increase regulations.
  • She will raise taxes.
  • She admires Margaret Sanger.
  • She is a disciple of Saul Alinsky.
But she is a woman and her election would be historic. And because Donald Trump is mean, scary, unpredictable, unlikable, and/or crazy and he often speaks in a harsh tone, he is disqualified.

Recovering Republican and the One-Sided Coin

As a recovering Republican I am acutely aware of one-sided political analysis or opinions. We should never accept either from our media outlets or our friends.

Below is a Facebook conversation that took place between me and a "friend" recently. It serves as a shining example of how many of us think when it comes to politics. We think in terms of teams. If my team does something wrong, I ignore it. If the other team does something wrong, I constantly point to it while bashing and berating those who "play" for the other team.

Here is a summary of the initial post followed by some direct quotes: Trump sucks. Republicans suck. Christians who support Trump suck. Black Lives Matter is only after equal justice. Islam is a religion of peace. Radical Christianity should be feared. The KKK supports Trump therefore Trump is a racist. If you support Trump or are a Republican or a Christian who supports Trump or you disagree with anything that was said, you should de-friend me on Facebook. No debate is necessary. I almost forgot, no analysis or opinion is offered on the elephant in the room, Hillary Clinton.
If you can support Donald Trump and all of his racial tactics and the preaching of his hatred or any other type of hatred you can kindly remove yourself from my Facebook friends list. I don’t have time for the hate.
Trump is constantly speaking and playing on the fear and hatred of Americans.” A lot of you claim to be a Christian and can still support him. God truly preaches against hatred. Read some of these scriptures.
You claim Hillary Clinton is a liar and a murder but yet you are the ones who support the senseless killings of young black youth and say that the ‪#‎blacklivesmatter‬ movement is a hatred movement and will say all lives matter or blue lives matter. Yes they do all matter but the movement is not about hate it is about equal justice for the senseless violence.
Trump preaches on the fear of Americans and terrorism by saying only one religion preaches hate or that only one or two races are coming to America and raping, robbing, and killing Americans. Christianity doesn’t preach Hatred and neither does Islam. Hate comes from the Devil and the false teaching from any religion.
Some of the worst terrorist in America came from Radical Christianity. There are numerous radical Christian the worst of them all and they support Trump is the KKK don’t need to say much more about them. Trump has retweeted numerous untrue post from KKK members that were untrue and then say all he did was retweet it. Let’s make America White again. I am not trying to debate anything you want to say just remove yourself because you support the hatred and violence that comes out of his mouth. Guess what he lies too.
Me:
I have no problem with people getting on their soap boxes. I do it all the time. You are a good person and mean well. My only issue is the one-sided nature of your speech.

I will not defend Donald J. Trump because I believe the over-reach of the federal government in general and the executive branch specifically is at fault for much of what ails America today. My guess is you felt similarly about Mitt Romney and John McCain. Neither of them were saints. Both had lots of flaws as did candidate Obama and President Obama.

My problem is you crucify Trump and choose to ignore Hillary Clinton's record other than to point the finger at those who call her a liar (which she clearly is) and a murderer (not sure I've seen claims that she kills people).

The problems in the country lies in the lack of state and local control. They are addicted to federal dollars, which come with strings attached. Those strings rarely serve the local people's best interest. The president (whoever it is) should be looked upon with suspicion and/or concept because of the power he or she wields over the 330 million Americans. We fought a revolution to rid ourselves of a king and now we find ourselves saddled with another one who resides at Pennsylvania Avenue in D.C.
Friend:
My problem is with the racial tone of Donald Trump. He plays to the crowd. I also said they call her a murderer but yet the same ones will defend a cop who killed an innocent black man praising them. My problem is with the republican party claiming to be Christians but support a man that said he doesn't even ask God for forgiveness. You have never been pulled over because you fit the description, couldn't buy a house because they didn't want you in their neighborhood because you was black. I am not closed minded or have to vote democrat. And no I didn't feel the same about McCain or Romney. I do like McCain.
Me:
Thanks for taking the time to respond to me. However, I am going to call you out again. You bash Trump. You bash Republicans and say nothing about Hillary. You are critical of Trump's tone. "He plays to the crowd." And Hillary does not? Obama did not? Kerry? Gore? None of the Democratic candidates "played to the crowd." The only reason we are having this dialogue is because we have both been played by both sides of the spectrum.

Who is this innocent black man killed by a cop? Are you referencing the guy in Milwaukee? Or are you making a broader point? I've never heard anyone "defend a cop who killed an innocent black man praising them." Who praises murder?

What I am in search of in this insane political environment is honesty among people who see the world differently. I certainly did not grow up in the same environment as you but how does that change the truth?

You say Republicans "claim to be Christians". Who said that? Look at the national Republicans. As a group do they act like Christians? They are no different than the Democrats in D.C. All they care about is power and control. That is why many of the establishment Republicans claim that they will vote for Hillary. They think that a President Trump will upset their apple cart. It's all about personal preservation of power. I'm pretty sure Jesus did not preach along those line.

Talk to me about the Democrats? Are you saying that it is ok for the Democrats to perpetually promise to take care of minorities by taking from the rich and giving to the poor when that promise never materializes?

Are you saying that, just because Democrats do not play the "Christian" card, they are off the hook when it comes to their personal behavior? You quoted a bunch of scripture in your original soapbox post but I do not understand why you do not hold the Democrats to the same standard as you do Republicans. The Democrats are the Party of "choice". They believe that a woman has the right to "choose" to terminate a human life. How can a Christian support that? I'm pretty sure there are a few scriptures in opposition to that.

Do you see how complicated this gets when you try to fit a square peg (Christianity) into a round hole (Democrats or Republicans). There is something bigger than these two destructive political parties. Again, I know you are a good person. All I am looking for is an honest and civil dialogue. And I will not accept your challenge to de-friend you just because I disagree with you. We already have too many Americans walking around with blinders on. Two more of us will not make the world a better place.

Trump vs. Hillary - Words More Dangerous Than Actions

Donald J. Trump is constantly bashed with subjective name-calling:
  • "He is a racist asshole."
  • "He is risky."
  • "He is a bigot."
  • "He makes me nervous."
  • "He scares me."
  • "He is unfit."
  • "He is unhinged."
  • "He is crazy."

While Hillary Clinton is in fact:
  • Responsible for the deaths of at least five people including a U.S. Ambassador.
  • A habitual liar.
  • An unindicted felon.
  • Callous and heartless toward rape victims, babies in the womb, and victims of her husband's countless sexual harassment episodes.
  • A woman with no career accomplishments that qualifies her to run a small business much less be President of the United States.
  • An influence peddler.
  • Conniving
  • Careless
  • Reckless
  • Corrupt
  • Crooked
  • Incompetent
  • Dishonest

In addition:
  • Hillary has never created a single job.
  • She has never started a company; never made payroll.
  • She has been implicated in quid pro quo arrangements between the State Department and the Clinton Foundation.

Conclusion: Donald Trump's words are more dangerous to the nation than the actions of Hillary Clinton.

    Article I, Section 8

Article I, Section 8, of the Constitution is 18 paragraphs long. It enumerates the limited powers the Constitution grants to the federal government. Here's a breakdown of the 18 paragraphs:
    • 6 concern the military and the militia.
    • 4 concern money or taxes.
    • 1 concerns commerce.
    • 1 concerns naturalization and bankruptcies.
    • 1 concerns post offices and post roads.
    • 1 concerns copyrights and patents.
    • 1 concerns federal courts.
    • 1 concerns maritime crimes.
    • 1 concerns the governance of the District of Columbia.
    • 1 gives Congress the power “to make all Laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into Execution the foregoing Powers.”

    • 0 concern marriage (gay or straight)
    • 0 concern health insurance
    • 0 concern the education of our children
    • 0 concern gun control
    • 0 concern labor laws
    • 0 concern abortion
    • 0 concern bailouts of corporations
    • 0 concern carbon dioxide emissions
    • 0 concern welfare programs
    • 0 concern farm subsidies
    • 0 concern drugs
    • 0 concern foreign aid
Unfortunately the list goes on and on and on. The country as founded needs to be taken back or it's over!

Political Expediency, the NBA, and HB2

General Assembly of North Carolina, Second Extra Session 2016, Session Law 2016-3, House Bill 2

My usual Saturday morning perusal of the Charlotte Observer’s sports section (the only section of the Observer I read given the paper’s long-standing political leanings) was full of stories about the NBA’s decision to withdraw next year’s All-Star game from Charlotte in protest of the HB2 law which prevents individuals from choosing which restroom or locker room to use based on the gender with which they currently identify.

Luke Decock’s article was particularly annoying as he was encouraging the Atlantic Coast Conference to follow the National Basketball Association's lead and punish North Carolina because of the HB2 law. Decock proudly declared, “it’s time for the ACC to follow the NBA’s example and stop rewarding North Carolina politicians for shamefully discriminating against the LGBT community out of fear of nonexistent transgender predators.”

Decock’s misleading and inflammatory statement offers an opportunity to set the record straight:

The North Carolina Legislature does NOT discriminate against the LGBT community. They are protecting our wives, sisters, daughters, and granddaughters from real HETROSEXUAL predators by striking down a law that would make it easier for these deviants to gain access to female restrooms and locker rooms!

The only legitimate gripe the anti-HB2 crowd has is that the law did not create another sub-group of citizens that may claim to be aggrieved. North Carolina law already recognizes race, religion, color, national origin, age, sex or handicap as protected classes. Because the law does not create a new one, “sexual identification”, the claim is that the LGBT community is unprotected and open to discrimination.

What do all the current protected classes have in common? Other than religion, they are all tangible, physical, and easily identifiable! LGBT are none of those. How can you enforce a discrimination law based on the gender the plaintiff identified with on a given day? Can you imagine what new protected classes might be derived after this? How about the LDCH community? Llamas Dogs Cats and Horse community. Those who identify as a horse or a dog on a given day should not be discriminated against nor prosecuted if they defecate in public! Talk about a slippery (and stinky) slope.

    What did HB2 do?

Given the irresponsible actions of the Charlotte City Council, one that, like gay marriage, is trying to redefine natural law, the North Carolina Legislature was forced to step in and clearly define rules around “multiple occupancy bathroom or changing facilities”. The bill states:
“Single-Sex Multiple Occupancy Bathroom and Changing Facilities. – Local boards of education shall require every multiple occupancy bathroom or changing facility that is designated for student use to be designated for and used only by students based on their biological sex.”

“Multiple occupancy bathroom or changing facility. – A facility designed or designated to be used by more than one person at a time where students may be in various states of undress in the presence of other persons. A multiple occupancy bathroom or changing facility may include, but is not limited to, a school restroom, locker room, changing room, or shower room.”
The bill goes on to suggest that single occupancy bathrooms and/or changing facilities can be used to accommodate the transgendered community. Seems like a reasonable solution to a non-existent problem.

    What’s the Big Deal?

For those of you not from Charlotte or North Carolina, you must understand that the Charlotte City Council is comprised largely of Democrats (nine of the eleven members). The mayor, Jennifer Roberts, is a liberal ideologue in the same league as Warren, Clinton, and Pelosi. On top of that, we have a successful Republican Governor (and former mayor of Charlotte), Pat McCrory, who is up for reelection this year. And for the first time in over a century the North Carolina General Assembly is majority ruled by Republicans. On top of that, consider that the state is now considered “purple” having narrowly giving Obama our 15 electoral votes in 2008 (by 14,000 votes) and rejecting him in 2012 (by 97,000 votes).

As you might expect the Left in North Carolina is in uncharted waters. What to do?

Step #1 - Have Charlotte pass an ordinance that they know the General Assembly will strike down.

Step #2 – Ignore the obvious consequences of the ordinance.

Step #3 - Decry the General Assembly’s law as discriminatory.

Step #4 - Call Republicans homophobes, hayseed, backward, narrow-minded, and short-sighted.

Step #5 - Engage the liberal media to carry the water for the non-existent grievance.

Step #6 – Suggest to liberal celebrities, entertainers, and politically correct sport leagues to cancel events in North Carolina.

Step #7 – Use the issue to elect Democrat Roy Cooper to the governor’s mansion, unseat as many Republican members of the General Assembly, and regain the 15 electoral votes for Hillary Clinton. Given the dismal Democratic turnout in the primaries and their highly flawed, unlikable, unindicted felon presidential candidate they need all the help they can get to rally the troops.

Governor McCrory summed this situation up best:

“The sports and entertainment elite, Attorney General Roy Cooper and the liberal media have for months misrepresented our laws and maligned the people of North Carolina simply because most people believe boys and girls should be able to use school bathrooms, locker rooms and showers without the opposite sex present. Twenty-one other states have joined North Carolina to challenge the federal overreach by the Obama administration mandating their bathroom policies in all businesses and schools instead of allowing accommodations for unique circumstances. Left-wing special interest groups have no moral authority to try and intimidate the large majority of American parents who agree in common-sense bathroom and shower privacy for our children. American families should be on notice that the selective corporate elite are imposing their political will on communities in which they do business, thus bypassing the democratic and legal process.”

Two Nails in America's Coffin - FBI Director John Jim Comey and Chief Justice John Roberts

First we had Chief Justice John Roberts essentially re-writing  the Obamacare law in order to discover a way not to find it unconstitutional. Now we have the FBI Director John Comey re-writing 18 U.S. Code § 793 by inserting "intent" to a statute that does not contain it in order to discover a way not to recommend an indictment of Hillary Clinton.

    Tale of Two Altars

American liberals continue to win the fight to make killing babies in the womb as easy as possible.

They opposed a Texas law that required abortion clinics to have admitting rights to area hospitals - ostensibly making abortions safer (you know, avoiding back-alley abortions that Nancy Pelosi is always talking about).

Why did they oppose the law? Because it reduced the number of abortions!

Why is reducing the number of abortions a bad thing? Because abortion is the altar at which American liberals worship. What about the baby?????

On the other hand, the Pro-Life camp opposes abortion because the altar at which we worship finds that all life is made in the image of God and, therefore, is valuable and worth saving.

    Bloodletting and The Federal Reserve

    Credit to Peter Schiff:

Doctors used to think the way to cure someone was to perform a procedure called bloodletting (bleed them out). The problem is no one ever got better because of the procedure and many died.

Similarly, central bankers around the world think they can cure the economy by manipulating interest rates, essentially holding them at zero for years on end. They think Keynesian policies of "stimulating" the economy through money printing will fix the economy. The problem is no economies have ever improved because of these policies and many have collapsed.

Intellectual Midget Elizabeth Warren Calls Donald Trump a Loser

The intellectual midget Elizabeth Warren called Donald J. Trump a loser primarily based on his handful of bankrupt businesses.

This coming from a woman who has never started a business much less had several fail. She has not created a single job! Ms. Warren does not understand the free market, she wants to kill it. She has no idea what capitalism is. She prefers socialism and crony capitalism!

She goes on to explain what hangs in the balance of this election: affordable college, accountability on Wall Street, the Supreme Court, rich people paying their fair share, expanding Social Security, investments in infrastructure, turn back hatred, sexism, racism, and xenophobia.

#1 - College is not affordable because of the federal government’s meddling.

#2 - Wall Street was heavily regulated before the 2008 crash and yet, not a single federal agency saw the crash coming!

#3 - The Supreme Court: she means no Constitutional originalist judges are allowed because that is where the Left truly advances their agenda. They already got Obamacare, gay marriage, and much of the unconstitutional regulatory state blessed by the Court!

#4 - “Fair share?” OMG! My head is going to explode with this shallow, worthless claim. How much is fair Senator?

#5 - Expand the bankrupt Social Security program. Brilliant!

#6 - More worthless rhetoric about infrastructure spending. The Keynesian-fest we have just lived through did not end the recession but Warren wants more!

#7 - She finishes with the obligatory list of name calling. Anyone who does not agree with the Left’s failed agenda must be slandered with claims of racism, sexism, and xenophobia!

Morally Bankrupt Democrats and Transgender Restrooms in Charlotte

This is how a morally bankrupt political party behaves!

Once upon a time they controlled the White House and both houses of Congress. Then they went along with Obama’s unpopular fundamental transformation agenda. Then they lost the House and several governorships but continued supporting Obama’s agenda. Then they lost the Senate, several state legislatures, and countless local races.

What to do next? They found a politically ambitious mayor (Jennifer Roberts) with a Democratically-controlled city council and got them to pass an unpopular and unnecessary law allowing people to choose which public restroom to use based on their current sexual identification.
Then the state legislature (the one they lost control of after over a hundred years due to their previous behavior) slapped the mayor’s hand and said, “No! You cannot pass laws that address a false grievance of less than 0.5% of the population!”

And now we have the obligatory feigned outrage and name-calling on social media, the New York Times, and Democrats all over the country. This is political theater at its finest from a desperate political party which has nothing to offer its constituents beyond more handouts, more illegal immigrants that take their jobs and drain their tax dollars, more dependency on government, more regulations, more debt, and more grievances based on race, sex, gender identification, sexual orientation, marital status, creed, ethnicity, age, religion (did I miss any?)!
